چکیده
Many industries use huge amounts of synthetic dyes which may release into the wastewater in dyeing processes causing serious damage to aquatic life as they are recalcitrant, nonbiodegradable, stable oxidizing agents, and toxic. Adsorption on activated carbon has been found be a very efficient treatment method. In this work, new adsorbent material composed aluminum chloride (AC-Al) was prepared for removal commercial anionic anthraquinonic reactive dye, i.e., Reactive Black 5 (RB5) under various experimental conditions. Several parameters, such adsorbent’s dosage, initial RB5 concentration, pH, contact time, were studied order determine feasibility AC-Al. According results, it that there an increase dosage increased, especially, pH 2 ± 0.1, where rate reaching 100% by 1.0 g/L Freundlich isotherm pseudo-second-order kinetic models adequately fit data, indicating favorable heterogeneous adsorption occurred, closer chemisorption. thermodynamics, procedure endothermic nature (∆H0 = 62.621 kJ/mol) spontaneous (∆G0 < 0), according positive value ∆S0 0.0293 (kJ/mol∙K), is random interaction between solid liquid interfaces. Finally, AC-Al successfully regenerated reused four cycles.

متن کاملThe Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions
To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...
